Power-Funk for the People. Mike Bennett & The SoulGlo Orchestra are a blend of classic rock, soul, and indie funk, marinated to perfection in Brooklyn. It's an electric, eclectic, positive vibe party.

Formed by Mike Bennett in 2016, SoulGlo is comprised of Akos Forgacs on bass, Mark Bell on drums, Jaquelene Acevedo on percussion, Nandi Kayyy on vocals, Isaac Hernandez on guitar, and Ameer Weston on keys.

They released their self-titled EP SoulGlo in January 2017, followed by their two singles Catch My Breath and Natural Selection in July 2017. The band regularly performs in the northeast in New York City.

We are the Professors of Sweet, Sweet Music. Our music includes bass, lead guitar, percussion, acoustic rhythm guitar, ukulele and a lot of vocal harmonies. Our style might be called alt-folk/rock. We are always up for a fun show and we always make sure the audience has a great time with us. We were honored to be voted Best Musician/Band in the 2017 Best of Hartford Magazine reader's poll and Best Overall Band, Best Album and Best Song in the 2017 CT Now Best of Hartford readers poll.. We have put out our debut EP and are looking forward to recording our first full length album. We are proud to share our original music with people.
