Balkun Brothers
----------------
After coming onto the music scene with their powerful brand of psychedelic rock n’ roll, Balkun Brothers are creating a style of music all their own in the USA and worldwide. Founding members Steve Balkun (guitar/vocals) and Nick “The Hammer” Balkun (drums/vocals) were born and raised in Hartford, CT and are gaining followers across the world, becoming known for their high-energy live shows. Balkun Brothers bring a fresh mixture of funk, rock, blues, and intense improvisation that has been impressing crowds from Paris to Amsterdam to Los Angeles including appearances at famed venues such as BB Kings Blues Club in New York City and Cabaret Sauvage in Paris, France.
The duo has shared the stage with acts such as Johnny Winter, Joe Bonamassa, Gary Clark Jr., George Lynch, Chris Robinson, Gary Hoey, James Cotton, Gogol Bordello, Devon Allman, Melvin Seals and the Jerry Garcia Band, Eric Sardinas, Albert Castiglia, The Mike Dillon Band, Dub Trio, Dopapod, Vapors of Morphine, Selwyn Birchwood. Chris Duarte and many more since their inception in 2010. The band has also been featured on major festival line-ups alongside The Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder, Motley Crüe, Alice Cooper, Slayer, Iggy Pop, Snoop Dogg, Jennifer Lopez and Elvin Bishop.
After being voted 'Best Blues Band in Connecticut' at the Connecticut Music Awards for 4 years in a row (from 2013-2016), the band was most recently awarded 'Best Rock Band in New England' at the 2017 New England Music Awards.
The Balkun Brothers return to their rock and blues roots on the power duo's latest album, The Sun Studio Sessions. The brothers pay tribute to their musical forefathers with songs ranging from fast, up-tempo rock anthems to dirty, sweat-covered, backwoods delta blues.
After completing their 6th European tour, the brothers are now on a full East Coast United States tour and plan to release another album this Winter. The album was produced/engineered by Steve Albini (Nirvana, The Pixies, Iggy Pop) and mastered by Bill Skibbe (Jack White, The Black Keys, Cheap Trick).
Wild Adriatic
-------------
Rooted in the rowdy spirit of rock & roll, Wild Adriatic has built an international audience on a combination of groove, grit, and guitar-heavy swagger.
With the power trio's newest album, Feel, bandmates Travis Gray, Rich Derbyshire, and Mateo Vosganian update the sound of their influences -- from Seventies rock to Motown to soul -- for a contemporary audience, taking influence from the past but never losing sight of the present. They aren't revivalists; they're modern men, carrying the torch of melodic, riff-ready, high-energy rock into new territory.
